After decades of gathering experience in the field of quality control, quality assurance and quality improvment, the founder and ceo, Stefaan Luckermans, found a partner, Thabile Mathe, equally passionate. This resulted in Thaste IT being founded in 2008. Seeing the struggles their clients have to adapt to methodologies, trying to achieve their goals, failing to reach efficiency and effectiveness, they decided to us Software testing as a leverage to do better, resulting in the Bona Iqiniso Methodology and Tool.
All people involved need to speak a common (business) language, to enable them to define common goals, all leading to one result: "Building the right product in the right way".
There are many ways to define a solution, but they all have context, a feasible roadmap, a logical breakdown of the product and ... the know-how to verify and validate all the foregoing.
Software testing is the last 'line of defense' for a product being developed. Testing should be omni-present from start to end. Test driven development should always be the first choice if you aim for efficiency and effectiveness.
Verify you built the product correctly (concept). Validate you built the right product (context). Assure you built the product the right way (BUILD). Continuously make sure mistakes lead to improvement (CHECK).
Thaste IT follows the above strategy for all its customers and has 'packaged' this into its own software testing methodology "Bona Iqiniso", which means "Realize the Truth". Want to know more ...?
Bona IqinisoDefine syntax and semantics. Build a common language.
Use the common language to define, describe and prepare the product, the code, the code to test the code and the tests to perform manually.
Define your tests, than implement you test-code, than implement your code till your test-code doesn't give any errors anymore.
Work test driven. Be pro-active to what you expect from your product. code, test and correct till your automated tests pass. Only than test manually.
Be open for change, but first change your tests, before to implement code. Be aware your tests may be wrong, but learn from this.
Cherish your tests. They will be used to build a view of the product, to have a first impression and will help to build confidence in the result.
Our Creative Leaders stand for innovation in quality improvement, quality assurance and quality control.
